What about snow/winter weather?

Minneapolis is six markets in one zip-code grid.

The North Loop condo buyer and the Linden Hills single-family buyer have nothing in common except a Minneapolis address. The shoot for each one is calibrated differently, priced differently, and scheduled around different photographic constraints. Calling Minneapolis “a market” is the kind of generalization a national photographer makes. We don’t.

The six Minneapolis micro-markets we shoot.

  • Lake of the Isles + Cedar Lake (55416, 55408). Single-family + condo. Polarizer mandatory for south-facing windows. The lake shows up in 60% of listings; we treat it as part of the architecture.
  • Linden Hills + Fulton (55410). Walkable urban-suburban hybrid. Mature trees mean light angles matter more than usual. Best shoot times tend to be mid-morning or 3 PM, not noon.
  • North Loop + Mill District (55401). Loft + condo. The interior is the listing — exterior shots rarely matter past the entryway. Architectural detail framing (exposed brick, timber, beams) dominates the gallery.
  • Kenwood + Lowry Hill (55403, 55405). Estate-scale single-family, $1.5M–$5M. Same playbook as Edina’s Country Club: 7-bracket HDR, drone reveal, real twilight on $2M+.
  • Northeast Minneapolis (55413, 55418). Mid-tier urban residential. Faster shoots, Bronze and Gold tier dominant.
  • Whittier + Lyndale (55408, 55409). Mid-tier urban with growing investor activity. Often multi-property days.

North Loop is the hardest interior to shoot in the metro.

Loft conversions in the North Loop have a specific photographic problem: massive windows on one side of the unit, exposed brick on the other, and an open floor plan that puts both in every frame. Standard HDR can’t handle the dynamic range without crushing the brick or blowing the windows.

Our fix: 7-bracket fusion plus a separate window-pull edit and a brick-tone-recovery pass. The brick reads as warm without being orange, the windows read as windows, and the unit looks like itself.

No. Lakefront calls for the polarizer + drone + twilight stack. Condo (especially North Loop loft) calls for the 7-bracket window-pull stack. Same photographer, different shoot template. We adjust before the shoot, not in post.

Recommended package for a Lake of the Isles single-family?

Gold + real twilight ($599 + $129) for most. Platinum on $2M+ where the lot reveal warrants extended drone B-roll.
